The Insurance Institute of Canada is the nation's leading provider of property and casualty insurance professional education and career development. Founded in 1899, the Institute is a not-for-profit organization that serves over 40,000 members across Canada through 19 volunteer-run provincial institutes and chapters.
The Institute sets professional standards through education programs that lead to a variety of certifications and certificates, including the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP). The Insurance Institute also develops and distributes reports on human capital issues such as recruitment, retention, succession planning, education, training, and demographic research, and works to keep members up to date on insurance industry news and Institute happenings in its various newsletters. |
